OUR PROGRAM
Building Young Professionals was established in 2011 to encourage children, as early as 4 years old, to begin exploring goals. In order to prepare youth for the 21st century economy, they will require early exposure to an array of career choices. We believe this is a key step in empowering the youth to position themselves for success. BYP helps children break through the obstacles presented by low expectations and pre-conceived limits as they move towards the future.

BYP promotes appreciation for ethnic diversity and cultural differences, as participants share hands-on experiences designed to introduce them to opportunities in the workforce, or as the entrepreneurs and innovators of tomorrow. BYP believes that positive interactions with adults as well as peers facilitates empowerment in children, which leads them to take initiative, and begin 'building for tomorrow, today'.
Our slogan is 'Inspiring tomorrow’s leaders'. BYP offers children a safe haven for social maturation, vocational exploration, and personal development.

Our primary goal is to collaborate with public and private sector businesses to build a network of resources to provide authentic and inspiring experiences for our participants in cooperation with a host school.

We seek to identify high-risk site locations and build relationships with host- principals and key stakeholders in the Bronx community. We provide enrichment activities that foster critical thinking and decision-making skills as participants’ transition from primary to secondary education and beyond.

We have over 10 years experience providing after-school enrichment programming to over 1000 children across DOE schools.
GOAL
At BYP, our goal is to provide quality programs that are safe, sparks new interests, encourages creativity, builds self-confidence, and cultivates critical thinkers. We seek to provide services that support the needs of our students, their families, schools and neighboring communities.
